Over the last 3-4 years NR Cricket has been able to offer high quality cricket coaching to a variety of schools, clubs and individuals. Our Head Coach, Neal has led sessions at Reading Blue Coat School, Eagle House Prep, St Johns Beaumont Windsor, Dolphin School, Shiplake College, along with numerous local primary schools through the Chance to Shine scheme including very popular after school clubs. NR Cricket have supported Wargrave Cricket Club, Maidenhead & Bray Cricket Club and Taplow Cricket Club in driving their youth cricket sections and White Waltham Cricket Club more recently with their adult 1st and 2nd XI's.

Stew4 One to One's Academy

Neal is currently the Head Coach of the Reading Blue Coat U14 Cricket side, and has held this role since 2014. Whilst at the school he has delivered coaching sessions for all age groups up to the First XI and works closely with the Sports Department and Mark Allum, Youth Director of Berkshire Cricket, to ensure the cricketers coming through the school are getting access to high quality cricket coaching.

The school are looking at introducing a cricket holiday programme for the 2017 season which NR Cricket will be teaming to cordinate and deliver.

NR Cricket have overseen a huge transformation in the junior section at Wargrave Cricket Club. Since starting work in 2012 the clubs junior section has doubled in size with more structured coaching sessions, including adding new Girls and Under 7 age groups and an intensive Academy session for the clubs senior colts who are moving into senior cricket.

Through the work done in this partnership Wargrave CC managed to put out a 3rd team for the first time in 2014, a great achievement for a club that was struggling to field a 2nd team at times in 2011 Junior players now make up a high proportion of the Adult sides, with many representing Berkshire at representative level and Euan Woods going on to play for the Surrey Academy, EPP and South West England at Bunbury Festival.

Reading Blue Coat School

Working together with Wargrave Cricket Club, NR Cricket have delivered part and fully funded Chance to Shine School Coaching in a number of primary schools in Berkshire. Chance to Shine is an ECB led initiative giving schools access to professional cricket coaching with an aim to get more children active, involved in cricket and migrating over to cricket clubs.

Previously we have delivered Chance to Shine for Taplow CC and it was a huge success with the club getting numerous new players and the local schools enjoying a professional cricket programme.

Maidenhead & Bray CC

After initialing coordinating the Maidenhead & Bray Youth Coaching through Berkshire Cricket in 2015 with Head Coach Stewart Davison, NR Cricket formally took over the club's youth coaching in 2016.

Working with the club's boys U7's through to U17's, our coaching team led high quality training sessions helping the club's Under 15 side to become County Champions.

Looking forward to the 2017 season, the club and NR Cricket have big plans to engage more club members in the coaching set up and also look to introduce a younger age group, whilst making sure there is effective transition for the older colts into adult cricket.
